Thanks to everyone who came out to Fat Cat.

If you?re not all ?mingled out? for the week ? smaller group mingling this Saturday.

New idea: pair mingling practice; practice 1-on-1 introductions, & talking to pairs.

We?ll pair with a friend, or someone new. Talk about yourselves for a few minutes apiece; listen carefully. Get feedback/suggestions, if desired.
Then, pair with that partner for the day, like 2 friends going to a mixer together. Your pair rotates meeting with other groups, like at a party. Introduce yourself AND YOUR PARTNER, take turns speaking with him/her & the others. Then, give feedback to the group of 4. Then rotate & repeat.
This should help us get comfortable with smaller groups, so we can build up to larger groups?

Look for a ?Meetup? sign. Feel free to contact my cell at (646) 761-5684, or e-mail AlexWriteStyle@gmail.com .

IF YOU?RE PLANNING TO COME ? please reply ?Yes?, so we can plan the timing.

Homework (optional): If you have someone you want to pair up with, contact them in advance. If not, or if you want to push yourself, come alone, & we?ll pair up there.
Extra credit: if you?re less comfortable with spontaneous conversations/small talk, try prepping a short intro (ex. ?Hi, I?m Alex, a lawyer working in entertainment. But I?d rather direct ?? ) & answers to common questions (ex. ?Where are you from? What do you do? Where do you live? What do you do for fun? ).

See you there.

    •  Great group. Very friendly and open. Excellent tips.
    •  I thought it was good that we would pair off one to one and then work in larger groups and introduce our partners.
    •  This meeting was a great exercise in developing social skills. I enjoyed meeting new people that I could relate to on a comfortable level. Everyone should be proud of themselves.
