Meet with other local people who suffer from extreme shyness or social phobia. Offer support and understanding and share your story with others!

One requirement to overcoming social anxiety is to face, not avoid, your fears. One way to do this is to participate in a group that will encourage and support you while facing them, one small step at a time. Also important is learning that you are not alone.

“I've been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and social phobia for over 14 years. I have found that I really need a group of people who know what I'm dealing with in practice, rather than just in theory.”
