What's New?

"Hello, I don't know if I have any disorder, but I haven't made any new friends since high school (over 5 years), and I don't leave my appartment very often. I seem normal, but am very quiet, and have a hard time expressing myself. "
-
"Hi I was wondering if someone could help me. I believe my girlfriend is about to break up with me,because she can't handle my behavior.I have been diagnosed with chronic social anxiety and my thoughts..."
-
"I feel much the same way. I am going through a low period right now where I am even less sociable than my ordinary reticent self! "

"Hey Bill I know exactly what you mean. Some people I know have said that I just need a kick in the ass,but it is not that easy.I have a hard time, almost impossible time to get things out that are important to me,things that are bothering me,for fear of rejction and ridicule. One day,I would love to be able to speak my mind without fear, but not arragently or obnoxiously.I would love to be able to approach a woman and introduce myself... You know what I mean?"

-
"Hi Everybody I was just wondering if any of you were on facebook. It's a good way to communicate.Message me to find out how to reach me,if you are interested. Patrick"
-

-

"I've always been shy and a loner. It hasn't bothered me much, at least until depression set in. Now I am feeling out of touch and lonely. It would be nice to share experiences. Hopefully the meetups can help me come out of my shell at least a bit."
-
"Anxiety is something I've had to deal with all my life. It will be nice to see how others deal with it too."
-
"I've come quite far in managing my shyness and social anxiety, still have a ways to go. Looking froward to making new friends and supporting others in gaining social confidence."
-
"This is the place to continue the conversation between monthly Meetups. Get to know your local Meetup community, ask questions, answer questions, talk about your last get-together--it's up to you. We..."

"Hi I'm Jason. In some ways I don't seem shy, but in others... the hardest part for me has been the initial introduction. Starting the conversation wasn't so hard back in high school, but 10+ years later ... well enough said. "
-
"Oddly enough I started out in life as a pretty fearless, outgoing and competitive kid. It's strange how much experience can do to you, but there it is. I sometimes feel like a cat pacing in the cage of my own life. I think I am ready for a change."
-
"Hi ! I don't go out very often and I have problems to trust peoples. I've been very disappointed in the past so I would like to work on that :)"
-
"Hi, Montrealer here looking to meet other shy people for friendship"
-
"Hi everybody, I was not always shy. Since my accident in 2006, I feel more isolated, I don't go out very often and I have problems to trust peoples and make new friends. I've been very disappointed in the past so I guess this is the reason why I'm a"
